Why should I join?
Trezr is an exciting community of people who love to save money. You can save money, and pass money saving ideas on to others. On top of that, you can make money by being a trezr participant. You are permitted to submit affiliate link, and you can receive a protion of the advertising revenue generated from your posts.
How am I supposed to make money?
The main way you can make money from participating in Trezr is by posting deals that use your affiliate link. If you have an affiliate account with a merchant, for example register.com, and they email you a coupon for a discount on renewing a domain name, all you have to do is come to trezr.com and submit that coupon code linking to register.com with your affiliate link. You will then earn a commision for any sales generated from that link.
Even if you aren't an affiliate of a site, if you find a good deal you can post it and get paid for any traffic that goes to your deal and sees an advertisment on that page.
Where do these deals, coupons and money-saving tips come from?
If you come across a valuable deal, help other users by clicking “trezr this.” This will increase the item’s score and will signal to others that it’s worth checking out. It will also save it to your profile so you can easily find it later or share it with others.
What is the Trezr Hunt?
When an item is first submitted, it goes into the Trezr Hunt section as a “silver coin.” Silver coins stay in the Trezr Hunt only briefly. But, if the item receives enough votes (through “trezr this” clicks), the silver coin becomes a gold coin and is moved into the Trezr Chest. If it does not receive enough votes, the coin is thrown back into the ocean and disappears forever.
What is the Trezr Chest?
When an item receives enough votes, it becomes a gold coin and moves into the Trezr Chest. Gold coins stay in the Trezr Chest for three months, or until they expire – which ever comes first
What exactly are all these items on the homepage?
The homepage shows the latest seven items in the Trezr Chest in each major category: deals, coupons, and tips.
What is the difference between a ‘deal’, a ‘coupon’, and a ‘tip?’
A deal is a link to a product. A coupon is a link to a discount code. A tip is a link to an article related to saving money.
What is credibility and how does it work?
Every user has a credibility score between 1 and 10 that indicates how experienced and trustworthy the user is. It is usually displayed beside the person’s username in parentheses. This score is a combination of many factors, including number of deals posted, ratio of gold to silver coins, and time spent on the site. Credibility goes down with inactivity.
What if there is something fishy about an item I see on Trezr?
If an item has a potential problem (for example, it’s inaccurate, suspicious, spam, etc) you can flag this to the Trezr.com staff by clicking the problem button on the item’s detail page.
Is it true I can make money using Trezr?
Yes. If you have a Google AdSense ID, you can enter that into your account settings and get a share of the revenue generated by the ads on your posted item's details page. The percentage of revenue you generate will vary depending on your credibility.
